Sisters Christmas Quilt Project

Ready to start our Sisters Christmas Quilt - here are my flannel fabrics - all courtesy of my sister Carol.  I have a lot of yardage and 64 charms that I got with my birthday gift card.  I think I want to make a large rag quilt for myself and a mini rag quilt for new baby Liam.  For Liam's I will use the 5 inch charms and use the same process as the 10 inch squares of the larger quilt.  Goal for next Sunday - have all the10 inch squares and all batting squares cut - will post next weekend.  Below is a picture of Liam visiting with mom Elena two weeks ago.

  1. Oh my, Liam is so cute! I've been wondering how he and Elena are doing. Sounds like a great way to use your flannel. Of course we'll want to see a picture of both rag quilts when you get them done. Welcome to blogland.

  16. A lovely daughter and grand baby. Such happy faces! A nice welcome greeting to your blog. Carol let us know that you have joined our circle of quilting bloggers and I want to welcome you and your family.

Will be fun to see what you create with this fabric. I made a rag quilt last year for my husband, Tom uses it every day and loves the snuggly softness and warmth...we need warmth here in Minnesota! Just look at the snow you have! Beautiful. :-)

  17. Greetings from Albany, Western Australia. I came from your sister's blog. Liam is really cute. They are babies for so short a time and I love them at that age. My youngest is 20! I'd love to see the quilt when it is made; I have wanted to make one of these, but never got around to it. Sam
